Andrew and Gabriella Morrison decided they didn’t want their lives to revolve around monthly mortgage payments anymore. They both have a background in construction and spent four months building a tiny house on wheels. It cost them $22,744.06 to build, and a grand total of $33,089.72 including the appliances, cabinetry, furniture, and fixtures. Now they are mortgage-free, and their heating and cooling bill is lower due to being in a smaller space.

The kitchen is smaller but provides everything they need.

Mr. Morrison plays his guitar and relaxes in his new lounge, which his wife says has brought them closer as a family.

They have high end appliances, storage space for clothes, and a place for a fire.

Their daughter Terra, 14, has her own cabin next door. They also have a 17-year-old son, Paiute, who attends college.
